# Getting your Public Merchant Key

Login to [cowork.youverify.co](https://cowork.youverify.co/), at the top right-hand corner, click on the name, and then click on **Account Settings**, as shown below;

When in Account Settings, click on “**API/Webhooks**”.

Scroll down till you get to the "**Webhooks"**, under the webhooks, you will then see the "Public Merchant Key".

***NOTE***: The environment can be either Test or Live. The key created in the ***test portal*** will only work in the Sandbox environment, while the key created in the ***live Portal*** will work in the Production environment. Fully onboarded businesses can toggle from Test to Live and Vice Versa. You can know which Portal environment you are in, by checking the top right of the portal page as shown below;
